Clean Haridwar Project
The headquarters of Gayatri Pariwar -Shantikunj is located in the holy city of Haridwar, which has been obviously one of the main focus of it's cleanliness drive. Every year during the Ganga Closer ( a period between Dussehara and Dipawali) Gayatri pariwar undertake cleaning drive at the entire length of Holy Ganga in Haridwar.
This project is going on since 2008.
This year, 14-Aug-2015, after the Kanwad Yatra, Gayatri Pariwar undertook special cleanliness drive in which thousands of Gayatri Pariwar volunteers gathered and cleaned the Ghats of Ganga, Kanwal Mela area and Railway station to free Haridwar from the massive garbage generated during the 15 day Kanwad Yatra.
